Followers of Telephone Call The Midwife were feeling psychological last evening after a ‘lovely’ minute in between Dr Patrick Turner and his partner, nurse Shelagh.
During Sunday’s (February 2 2020) instalment, the couple were treated to a day night as well as went to see The Audio Of Music at the cinema.
Throughout the episode, Dr Turner had had a hard time to make time for his other half outside of their hectic job routine, so it was a welcome break for both of them.

And after seeing the film, they could not help yet compare their very own marital relationship to the on-screen relationship in between governess Maria, played by Julie Andrews in the 1965 standard, and retired naval officer Captain Georg von Trapp (played by Christopher Plummer).
Shelagh said: “I really feel as if our love is as strong as theirs, even if we don’t sing regarding it.”
But Patrick recalled a moment he was touched by Shelagh’s vocal singing, as he told her: “Your voice touched my soul. It was like everybody else had actually thawed away and also it was simply you.
“And also if I truly resembled Captain von Trapp, I would seek some edelweiss and surprise you.”
Shelagh informed him it wasn’t most likely he would have the ability to discover some edelweiss like in the movie The Sound of Music, as it expands in the mountains of Austria.
But at the end of the episode, Shelagh was amazed to locate a number of white flowers waiting for her at the office.
“Tiny and white, tidy as well as brilliant. They were the nearby point to edelweiss I can find,” Dr Turner stated, with a smile.
“They’re lovely,” Shelagh told him.
Audiences were decreased to tears by the emotional scenes, with one sharing a clip of the blossoms moment on Twitter and editing and over once more, “Do not cry, don’t cry, don’t sob.”
Another tweeted: “I was ALRIGHT up until Patrick purchased the blossoms and then the happy splits flowed. Dazzling episode #CalltheMidwife.”
