It’s royal date night and an attractive re-wear for Kate Middleton!
Kate and Prince William were rather the stylish pair as they strolled the red carpet at Sunday’s distinguished BAFTA occasion at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The couple’s attractive night out has become rather of a royal tradition recently, this time marking the 4th successive year they have attended the event, and also William’s 10th anniversary as president.
Not only did Kate look the part for the attractive British Academy Film Awards, now in its 73rd year, however she also required with their most current design guidelines, which encouraged visitors to incorporate a message of sustainability into their fashion choices for the night.
All attendees were offered with a sustainable style guide this year that was developed by the London College of Fashion’s Centre for Sustainability, asking guests to re-wear, lease or purchase vintage– and it appears like Kate listened!
The stunning gold and white Alexander McQueen gown she selected was previously worn during a 2012 state supper in Malaysia, where she equipped it with a simple pair of golden earrings.
On Sunday, the mommy of three equipped with a necklace and earrings from Van Cleef and Arpels– that cost over $15,000– as well as gold Jimmy Choo heels.

The guidelines become part of the academy’s prepare for their first-ever carbon neutral awards ceremony. “Sustainability is very important to BAFTA, and we’re doing more than ever before,” they discussed in a press statement, including: “The objective is that the EE British Academy Film Awards 2020 will be carbon neutral, working towards having a net positive impact on the environment.”
The red carpet will be one hundred percent recyclable and sustainably sourced produce will be served at the dinner. Guests have also been encouraged on how to offset their travel for the journey to and from the occasion– which for Kate and William would have been minimal, as Kensington Palace is just a stone’s throw from the South Kensington concert hall.

Last year, Kate wore a white unbalanced dress from Alexander McQueen, her bridal gown designer and her go-to for formal night events. In 2018 she opted for a dark green gown with black detailing by Jenny Packham. That year, numerous guests including Angelina Jolie and Margot Robbie used all black in support of the Time’s Up Movement.
The event, which is the British equivalent of the Oscars, will conclude with the greatest distinction being provided by William to American movie producer Kathleen Kennedy.
